PHP/IOP Bourbon County School Therapist Job at The Ridge Behavioral Health System

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, provides individual and family therapy to patients with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. Coordinates their treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process and utilization and review. Provides telephonic, telehealth, and in-person risk assessments, including the history of presenting illness, suicide risks, family dynamics, and supporting psychosocial information. The PHP/IOP Therapist for Satellite program has initial contact with referral sources and potential patients in order to coordinate the referral and intake process, determine appropriate level of care, facilitate the admission process, and maintain communication with referral sources, families, and patients. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities.
The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree in social work or other mental health field required.
Experience
- One to two years of mental health experience required.
- Experience with milieu management preferred.
- Experience with school based systems, including the highly structured classroom, is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Certification or licensure in social work or mental health field required; e.g. CSW (with an approved contract with the board of Social Work), LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, etc.
- If employee possesses a LPCA, LPA or CSW, then they must have a contractual agreement for supervision. This agreement must be forwarded to HR for placement in their file.

- Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology.
- Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.
- Skills in conducting individual and family sessions.

- Must demonstrate the ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training, orientation program. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
