Job Summary

The Physical Therapist functions as an important member of the healthcare team and is responsible for evaluating and providing personalized, evidence-based treatment to patients. The individual performs in a manner consistent with Stevens Point Orthopedics’ mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Essential Job Functions

• Evaluate and consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
• Review patients’ medical history and referrals from providers
• Develop a personalized plan of care
• Provide evidence-based treatment that is tailored to each individual patient
• Keep open lines of dialog with other physical therapists and providers
• Maintain timely documentation and efficient patient records

Additional Job Functions

• Ability to interact and engage with patients in a friendly and personable manner
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.

Job Qualifications

EDUCATION

Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program

• Interest in orthopedics and in treating the spine
• Prefer 2+ years of experience
