Anticipated Job Title: Infant & Toddler Connection of Augusta-Highland: Physical Therapist (part-time/hourly)
Reports To: Infant & Toddler Coordinator/Systems Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY:
- Provides Services to address functional developmental needs to children and families. This includes, but is not limited to, motor development.
- Collaborate with the family, service coordinator, and other early intervention service providers identified on a child’s IFSP
- Ensure that children’s goals and services address identified concerns, priorities and resources
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks.
- Reliable attendance and prompt arrival time
- Participate in Assessments and participate on eligibility teams.
- Complete Contact Notes for all contacts with families and service providers.
- Communicate results of Assessments, and other formal and informal evaluations.
- Participate on the IFSP team.
- Design or adapt learning environments, activities, and materials to enhance learning opportunities for a child with a disability.
- Train, educate, and support families in understanding their child’s functional developmental needs and to enhance his or her development.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Graduate with a Master’s Degree in his/her related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Licensed by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy
Masters Degree in Physical Therapy
Must complete the Early Intervention training modules prior to providing services.
