Summary of Job:

PT Aide will be responsible for patient care, clinic maintenance, active participation in personal and business development, professional and community advocacy, and professional conduct. PT aides will be expected to uphold RU core values and participate in our strong company culture. PT aides will communicate effectively including patients and support staff.

Responsibilities of the position:

• Treatment: Assist physical therapists in demonstrating and supervising appropriate patient treatment progressions for return to specified activities. Application of modalities in a safe manner.
• Communication: Expresses ideas clearly both orally and in writing; listens and responds appropriately and in a timely manner. Learning and applying "Applied Functional Science" terminology and abbreviations
• Documentation: assist licensed physical therapist in delivering quality documentation
• Clinic management: Participate in team approach to clinic management with opening/closing tasks, cleaning facility/equipment to ensure safe facility for patients and staff.
• Active participation in meetings and personal development program with company management including strategic personal development and professional growth.
• Business Development: PT Aide will market to ensure company growth via a variety of methods including, but not limited to social media, workshops, program development.
• Patient, professional and community advocacy: including education sessions, health fairs
• Professional conduct: Maintains professional in an ethical manner in accordance with discipline specific professional code of conduct.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification
• Completed Anatomy coursework
• 1-2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience (preferred)
• Knowledge/experience with Applied Functional Science (preferred)
