Richfield Living is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient, skilled nursing and assisted living centers in Salem, VA. The PTA is responsible for providing resident centered physical therapy treatments to facilitate increased independence and functioning. This position reports to the Physical Therapist (PT) and Director of Rehab.

The PTA implements individualized resident centered treatment plans as established by the primary PT. Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each resident. Acts as an assistant to the PT when the PT is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures. Instructs, educates, and trains residents and caregivers in the skills and techniques of the OT program under the supervision of the PT.

- Demonstrated exceptional customer service to Richfield Living community
- Requires valid Virginia PTA license with ability to practice per Virginia guidelines.
- Must be a graduate of PTA curriculum accredited by American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate; verbal and written.
- Ability to observe and communicate changes of medical conditions to the nursing team
- Passion to care for our residents
- Experience working within a healthcare community desired
- Experience with Elopement and Emergency Procedures desired
