Pay rates up to $18.50 per hour. Specific pay rate is based on relevant experience and shift (shift differential for working overnights). Overtime available but not required.

Eagle Flexible Packaging is currently seeking Plant Custodians to be responsible for the overall cleanliness and order of the production floor, restrooms, break rooms, and all other facility workspaces while maintaining safe work practices at all times. A keen eye for detail is a must!

Specific Duties:

• Check and empty all garbage receptacles throughout the factory as needed, including verifying that each waste container is properly labeled and that no product identification labels are in containers.
• Sanitize office and warehouse common areas.
• Use floor scrubber machine 1-2 times weekly throughout the entire warehouse.
• Collect and store empty cradles; clean cradles as necessary.
• Sweep floors and aisles throughout the factory.
• Keep perimeter of the plant clear of obstruction.
• Dust all horizontal surfaces within eye level on weekly basis.
• Sweep, dust, and mop employee entrances on weekly or as needed basis.
• Verify all chemicals have proper identification and label as needed.
• Verify janitorial cabinets have required tools and equipment stored properly.
• Replenish all pallet and slip sheets storage areas throughout the factory.
• Assist in moving return to inventory material to the staging location.
• Remove any damaged skids from the factory floor.
• Clean cafeteria.
• Clean sinks.
• Regularly maintain and clean restrooms.
• Complete a daily sweep of the building outdoor grounds to ensure no stray materials.
• Assist with special tasks as needed.
• Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Detail oriented and committed.
• Ability to safely work in a fast-paced production environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Sense of accountability, including record of good attendance.
• Effective time management skills and ability to maximize productivity.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs.
• Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Relevant custodial experience, including building upkeep.
• Experience in the flexible packaging industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
