SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for leading the Hansen Corporation/ElectroCraft, Indiana operations team. Your primary responsibility is to lead a cross functional team within a matrix-ed organization comprised of manufacturing, production control, quality, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and HR to achieve business goals and metrics. In addition, you are responsible to develop and implement a strategic plant plan in line with the global operations strategies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement safety systems, practices, and policies to meet goals for safety performance.
• Responsible for organization development and training of staff to meet manufacturing requirements consistent with HR talent development strategy.
• Responsible for the machining, stamping, sub assembly, final assembly, testing, and packaging of products consistent with design requirements meeting or exceeding quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Supports production control in the creation of production schedules.
• Responsible for the execution and monitoring of production schedules to assure successful on time delivery to customer orders.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the plant operations excellence strategy.
• Responsible to achieve key business objectives and metrics
• Responsible for ensuring a continuous improvement culture
• Responsible for site compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable government regulations
• Actively promote and encourage participation, involvement and leadership in community related activities. Promote ElectroCraft within the community in order to instill pride and ownership in the workforce.
• Identify core value-added processes and maximize their performance and productivity.
• Integrating and streamlining processes throughout the supply chain and ensuring adoption of best maximum efficiency.
• Works when expected and contributes best efforts towards the timely completion of work assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Technical degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of five years of demonstrated manufacturing leadership experience along with strong knowledge of lean principles.
• Demonstrated success in obtaining plant metrics
• Demonstrated ability to successfully multitask
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization are required
• Good listener

• Highly motivated with an unrelenting drive for success
• Ability to create an environment of teamwork on a cross functional basis to assure a high quality of work for all employees to achieve overall business success through continuous improvement

• Familiarity with ISO 9000 & 14001, and government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental)
