Position Overview
Kilgore, a Summit Material company, is looking for experienced Plant Operators for our second shift (2pm - 11pm). In this position you will be responsible for supporting production in a sand and gravel pit or stone quarry. This position will be expected to operate the crushing plant to produce the maximum allowable amount of material and be required to monitor the quality of the material being produced.

Compensation: $26/hour - $30/hour depending on experience.
Position Responsibilities & Performance Objectives
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions
- Operate plant equipment to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins.
- Monitor and review plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow of materials and maintain certified products.
- Control stockpile and inventory of materials.
- Inspect equipment, structures, and material.
- May repair machinery, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are always followed.
- Completes any paperwork that may be necessary.

Skills & Experience
- Understanding of MSHA rules and regulations.
- Previous experience in quarry or pit experience a plus.
- Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials.
