USDA has an opening for an energetic and committed person to work in our Wheat Regulatory Program.
Job Description:
This position entails testing wheat samples in the laboratory for analysis to determine if they are positive for Karnal Bunt, a disease of wheat, to ensure the crop can qualify for foreign trade and domestic uses. The incumbent must work without direct oversight and pay close attention to detail. Position will also involve data entry and scanning of documentation.
The position is seasonal with an anticipated mid-July starting date and should run for ten weeks, based on the needs of the program. The regular shift is from 7:00 to 3:30. The hourly pay is dependent on qualifications but is anticipated to be $13.80 per hour.
