Plant Trainer
Facilitate and execute necessary training activities including train the trainer for Leads, formal classroom instruction and informal on the spot coaching as deemed necessary.
Plant Trainer Details:
- Direct Hire position
- $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 /annually
- Salaried
- Create, maintain and review work instructions for the people or equipment process for the plant.
- Manage different training methods tailored to different employees, particular skill, knowledge or attitude to be learned: Lectures, 1:1 hands on training, videos, demonstrations, job shadow, etc.
- Develop and maintain all training documents, training records, logs, skills, certifications, and metrics for the plant to ensure compliance to the requirements.
- Execute/Implement at the site the training material to include standard work/ videos for on-the-job training, testing and verification of training.
- Conduct periodic audits of processes, training systems and provides feedback to participants and management.
- Facilitate and execute necessary training activities including train the trainer for Leads, formal classroom instruction and informal on the spot coaching as deemed necessary.
- Develop and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness for their plant
- Review and ensure all processes are standardized throughout the site from designated manager.
- Prepare necessary reports upon request and/or required in a timely manner.
- Attend necessary and/or required workshops and seminars if applicable.
- Populate and report scorecard results daily/weekly/monthly for site level.
Plant Trainer Qualifications:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in education/trainer/instructor or related field in manufacturing, automotive, industrial, production, assembly and/or plastics environment
- Experience with crating training, technical writing and instructional design for manufacturing hourly roles
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- ISO 9000 or TL9000 experience/knowledge
- Worked with external auditors and participated in audits, gather data and had the proper files & documentation needed to pass the audit
- Firsthand work experience completing progress reports on employees until they qualify for the assigned position.
- Experience in data management, data integrity and auditing, data entry (records, certification, verification, SOP, work instructions, training document)
- Self motivated, driven, quick learner, self starter, takes initiatives, is proactive
