Local construction management company is seeking highly skilled individuals for an equipment operator and welder position. Desired candidate is willing to listen and learn, be accountable and able to provide the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
Prefer individual(s) with three years practical working experience in the pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry and experience in TIG and stick welding on pipe. Experience in water and wastewater treatment is also preferred.
Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time; occasionally climb, kneel, crouch and work in awkward positions; occasionally lift and carry 50-75 pounds and rarely in excess of 100 pounds. Must be able to work 8-12 hours/day (occasionally > 12 hours/day) and travel as needed. Must be able to work with arms extended and perform over the shoulder work on a regular basis. Must be able communicate effectively.
Occasional travel may be required to jobsites out of the area. Must be willing to travel. Will need a valid driver’s license.
Job requirements!
- Pass pre-employment drug screen (Required)
- Plumbing/Mechanical Pipe Fitter experience (1-3+ years Required)
- Knowledge of print reading and laying various pipe systems (1-3+ years Preferred)
- Experience with the following piping materials – ductile iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, CPVC, galvanized, and copper (1-3+ years Preferred)
- Heavy Equipment experience 3+ years (Preferred)
- Expected to work in extreme temperatures and containment areas periodically.
- Experience with wastewater, water treatment, or other water control systems (Preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repetitively when needed (Required)
- Teamwork - Assist skilled Tradesmen, Leadmen, and Foreman with all aspects of the job (Required)
