We looking for someone with experience receiving purchase orders. We are a warehouse in pittsburg that has hundreds of different suppliers and thousands of different products that we receive, warehouse, and sell on our website.

This position is upwardly mobile. Over the years we have had several of our PO receivers promoted to become Team Leads, Assistant Managers, Managers, and promoted to other departments such as inventory management, and sales.

We need someone with great attention to detail, who can make sure our supplier is sending us the correct inventory that we ordered, who will be able to notice if the supplier sends us the incorrect item number, or an inaccurate quantity. You will be responsible for labeling everything that you receive up to our standards, not everything gets individually labeled, but almost all cases get a case label. Please don't apply if you miss your scheduled shifts. We encourage people to request time off when they need it, however do not want people who notify us the day of their shift that they cannot make their shift frequently.

Data entry skills are important because everything we receive needs to be put away into locations accurately. We also need this person to have good communication skills so that they may work with our Inventory Management Team, and our Fulfillment Manager team to resolve issues with inaccurate or incomplete purchase orders.

There is some degree of reviewing expiration dates on incoming POs, making sure our suppliers are sending us inventory with a long enough shelf like for perishable items.

Part of this job includes helping unload containers of inventory that we get from our different suppliers, some are domestic and some are imported. Ideally this person would be able to help with these container unloads, be able to learn to drive the sit down forklift (we would certify you), so that you can place pallets on our pallet wrapping machine and occasionally drive down our ramp to load or unload trucks if all of our loading docks are full.

An ability to help unload floor stacked containers would be ideal, some of these containers are easy and light weight items with few units, however some containers are floor stacked with thousands of units, requiring us to build pallets of things like cases of wine bottles, glass carboys, kegerators, kettles, empty kegs.

You would be joining a team of 3 other employees who primarily do receiving, and for our more laborius container offloads, we send other employees to help, as well as add temp workers to help.

Bonus points if you are excellent at this type of work, and are also eager to help us out on whatever other team may need help. Our receiving team is just one of several teams in our fulfillment center/warehouse. We get all the way caught up in receiving from time to time and there are other teams that can be helped when we happen to be slow in receiving.
