Podiatric Medical Assistant - Full Time Job at Foot & Ankle Center
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operations at our private specialist practice. You will support two doctors and patients throughout a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. We are looking for a self-starter with a team player mentality to join our stellar team.
Responsibilities
- Room patients for 2 Podiatrists and occasional medical assistant schedule
- Obtain and record vitals, update medications, transcribe phone conversations and treatments in our EMR system.
- Prep for and assist with in office procedures
- Coordinate and schedule surgeries
- Stock treatment rooms and maintain integrity of medical equipment
- Triage and return patient phone calls
- Assist with arranging Labs, Physical Therapy, and other advanced diagnostic testing
- Obtain x-rays onsite, experience a plus with podiatric specific x-rays
- Experience with Diabetic Shoe Program a plus
- Dispense Durable Medical Equipment and process appropriate paperwork
- Possess Strong Computer and Charting Skills
- Scan and attach patient documents into our EMR system, upload patient images, etc.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant preferably in a podiatry setting
- Positive Attitude
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work as needed
- Social perceptiveness including being patient and team oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems, Office Products and Office Equipment
- Degree in medical assisting

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
