Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or related field). Prefer three to five years of teaching experience. Requires a Missouri Teacher Certification; must maintain professional development hours.

Purpose:
The Positive Behavior Support Interventionist will assist teachers, principals and other staff members in developing behavior support plans, data collection, analysis of data, conducting functional analysis as needed, and follow up. Assist students in Recovery Room working on positive behaviors and reintegration into the classroom setting. Interventionist will be able to conduct training to all staff members, participate in team meetings and educate staff on behavior support plans.
Essential Job Functions:
- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- To "telework" when requested by the District.
- Conduct staff training sessions concerning behavior management.
- Collects data to facilitate assessment of the function of the behavior as appropriate.
- Observes students in informal and formal settings and provides comprehensive feedback to teachers and administrators.
- Develops behavior support plans.
- Models appropriate implementation of plans and trains staff how to implement and maintain the plan and data collection
- Analyze and interpret data.
- Attend and participate in meetings to work collaboratively with staff, agencies, parents and students to implement programs and procedures developed.
- Demonstrate excellent written verbal communication skills.
- Maintain student and staff confidentiality on issues related to students and behavior plans.
- Provide assistance in Recovery Room to assist students and classroom teachers with reintegration in the classroom setting.
- Serves on the District Review Team.
- Other assigned duties.
