Ascend Vision Partners is a rapidly growing ophthalmology management and surgery center group expanding throughout the Southeastern United States. We are looking for candidates to join our team of dedicated professionals who are excited to work for a company that is expanding quickly.
We are currently seeking a Practice Administrator for our ophthalmology offices located in Winter Haven, FL.
The Practice Admininstrator is responsible for the overall success of assigned ophthalmology practice(s). Provides the leadership, direction, administration and coordination of all practice activities except those directly involving professional medical judgement. The Practice Administrator is responsible for staff development, orientation and performance management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Practice Administrator for our ophthalmology offices located in Winter Haven, FL.
The Practice Admininstrator is responsible for the overall success of assigned ophthalmology practice(s). Provides the leadership, direction, administration and coordination of all practice activities except those directly involving professional medical judgement. The Practice Administrator is responsible for staff development, orientation and performance management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages offices in a cost-effective, efficient manner assuring that staff provides high quality care in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Coordinates, monitors, and improves the operations of each practice; this includes flow management, documentation, training, and staffing.
- Partners with Human Resources to recruit and hire qualified team members based on an approved staffing model and within an approved budget.
- Provides appropriate performance management, including recognition and coaching to improve performance, skill acquisition, professional development and career advancement.
- Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance by providing recognition and opportunities for learning.
- Participates in the preparation of operating, salary, and capital budgets. Maintains compliance of budget and the productivity standard set for the practice.
- Partners with all other departments within the organization, revenue cycle, accounting, IT, and purchasing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration or related field, or minimum of three (3) years of relevant supervisory experience in ophthalmology, healthcare, or clinic setting in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office, preferably in ophthalmology practice.
- Fundamental management skills of planning, organizing, facilitating, coordinating, collaborating and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with organizational subordinates, peers and superiors.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office package, email and time management software.
