The Practice Supervisor's duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Practice Manager in performing a variety of adminstrative tasks to ensure the day-to-day operations of the office run smoothly.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager to implement and enforce operating policies, procedures and standards.
- Supervise and support the development of a fast-paced multi-specialty practice.
- Assist HR Team with recruitment and onboarding of new staff; interview potential candidates.
- Supervise, direct and mentor staff.
- Train, discipline and evaluate the performance of staff.
- Oversee physician and staff schedules and appointments
- Investigate insurance discrepancies, resolve outstanding balance issues.
- Provide backup support to team as needed.
- Assists Practice Manager with timekeeper, approve payroll and leave requests.
- Cultivate teamwork with high level of communication with staff.
- Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
- Must be motivated, professional and enthusiastic with high ability to lead and communicate efficiently with physicians, patients, staff and vendors ensuring a patient-focused, cohesive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree, preferred, and 5+ years of relevant supervisory and administrative experience in an outpatient healthcare setting or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- EPIC experience a must.
- Self-starter who takes initiative.
- Background in Cardiology and Internal Medicine preferred
AMP is a Management Service Organization (MSO), that provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors. ColumbiaDoctors is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in New York State, comprised of an experienced group of physicians specializing in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. We are a large group with over 50 Columbia Providers and offices in Valhalla, Hawthorne, Scarsdale, White Plains, Yonkers, Suffern and Monroe.
