The preschool support teacher assists with classroom activities, academics, mobility, and other general school needs. Specifically, the support teacher:

• Understands and embraces Trinity's mission and vision;
• Acts as the foremost support system for the lead classroom teacher, seeking service at all times;Keeps the classroom warm and inviting, visually interesting, clean, and safe;

Effectively and regularly communicates with teachers to discuss student progress and share classroom activities;

• Motivates and manages behavior using current best practices and consistent discipline - creating a learning environment that encourages responsibility, self-motivation, Christian social interaction, and active engagement in learning through independent and collaborative work and age-appropriate play;
• Enthusiastically demonstrates the joy of discovery and learning, laying the foundation for lifelong learning skills and desire;
• Promotes high expectations for student achievement and Christian behavior;
• Exemplifies a Christian faith and life, both within the church/school and in the larger community.Resolves differences with others in obedience to Matthew 18;

• Cooperates in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-classroom activities; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a solid foundation in God’s Word
• A servant's heart that loves the Lord and His children
• A deep commitment to the academic, emotional, and spiritual well-being of children
• Teaching, classroom, or other education-based experience
• High school diploma or GED (bachelor’s degree preferred).

Hours and Reporting: Flexible. Preferred: 7:30am to 11:00am or 12:00pm to 3:30pm

Reports to: Assistant Principal
