The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Pricing Analyst located in our Orlando, Florida office.

The Pricing Analyst will perform a variety of formal and ad-hoc proposal-related tasks in support of DoD and Government requirements, to include: RFP/RFQ reviews/analysis, competitive analysis, data processing, acting as the pricing analyst in proposal preparation, perform detailed labor rate builds for a large variety of labor categories, and supporting other proposal preparation activities outside the pricing function as required. The Pricing Analyst must be able to prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate at all levels within management.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works closely with Pricing Manager, Proposal Team Members, Capture Managers, Team Leadership, Consultants, and the Operational Team as needed to provide complete pricing proposals.
  • Supports proposal pricing within a structured proposal development process, developing complex and customized pricing models
  • Pricing duties will include but not be limited to the conducting of market research using a myriad of tools; development of pricing models for review and submission to government customers; and assist in the development, authoring, editing, and finalizing of content for written pricing proposals.
  • Develop labor category rates for a variety of labor categories for competitive proposals as well as task order proposals taking into account application of indirect rates and burdens, as well as location, education and experience levels, job descriptions, etc.
  • Assist the Pricing Manager to support development of all content for pricing volumes.
  • Interaction with teaming partners, subcontractors, prime contractors and company personnel to collect data for proposals.
  • Support the Pricing Manager and leadership team to evaluate and perform costs analysis/realism on teaming partner pricing submittals.
  • Support the Pricing Manager and leadership team to Develop, execute, and document competitive pricing strategies that are realistic and defendable.
  • Prepares ad-hoc analyses and data collection on labor, travel and material related cost elements as directed.
  • Perform cost model audits for accuracy and compliance to both internal and customer related requirements.
  • Plays a key role in price proposal editing, formatting, compliance checks, and final proposal assembly.
  • Provide support to Contracts, Operations, and HR as needed.
  • Other proposal development and operational support duties as assigned.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in related discipline, e.g. Finance, Business Administration/ Management, Accounting.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have the ability to make sound business judgments, handle multiple pricing actions with a short turn-around time, and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to conduct market research using subscription and open market tools and provide detailed analysis on findings to facilitate decision making by management
  • Possess strong attention to detail, with the ability to review large files and spreadsheets to identify errors, inconsistencies, areas for improvement, and make recommendations
  • Possess excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate financial information in written form to stakeholders and customers
  • Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
