Position Overview:

The Primary Care Business Director reports to the CPMO. The Primary Care Business Director is responsible for Market level implementation of primary care teams that supports both fee for service and ACO markets. The Primary Care Business Director is responsible for strategic and operational leadership within the Primary Care Organization related to Provider recruitment and placement across the selected markets. The Primary Care Business Director will collaborate and work seamlessly with the Market Implementation team of their region.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of individual provider performance indicators
    • Provides leadership and vision through effective planning and decision making to achieve company targets in assigned region
    • Ensures attainment of both revenue and quality goals
    • Forms and maintains positive relationships with key internal stakeholders
    • In conjunction with Finance and the Senior Market Director, prepares annual and quarterly forecasts and budgets and communicates these to Providers
  • Recruitment, Interview, and Selection of all new Providers in market
    • Involvement in candidate selection process either via interview or field shadow
    • Approval of APP practice model (collaborative vs team) in conjunction with Clinical Practice Director
    • Involvement in team growth and build out
  • Coverage and Provider Resourcing
    • Management of overall coverage plans, including float provider calendar
    • Coordination of coverage during routine PTO and leaves, in conjunction with Territory Manager
  • Provider Agreements and Employment
    • In working with Human Resources, ensures that Provider Agreements are up-to-date based upon changes occurring in the practice, location, status or working hours
    • Organizes coverage for vacant provider scenarios as well as coordinating leaves of absences with Human Resources
  • Onboarding Process
    • Ensures completion of training process
    • Mentorship on practice management
    • Clinical evaluation in conjunction with Collaborating Physician
    • Assurance of audits and follow up

Qualifications:

Education/Certification/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, health care administration or RN/clinician with background and experience in clinic operations and/or care delivery
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in management roles
  • Customer service and Quality related positions a plus
  • Experience in a healthcare organization required
  • Knowledge and experience with Assisted Living and Memory Care communities a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and minimum state required liability auto insurance.
    Up to 50%-75% local travel is required for this position within prescribed market.
