Company Description:

pureIntegration is looking for a Principal Software Engineer - Python (Remote) to assist with the design, engineering, and software development of video ad insertion systems that provide advertising video content across many device types. The platform has high visibility, as it is integral to our client's video delivery platforms.
The ideal candidate has experience architecting and implementing scalable, high performing solutions utilizing Python. Some familiarity with various industry standards and specifications related to video advertising is a plus.

Location: Remote with occasional travel to client office in Denver, CO

Work Arrangement: FTE, W2 Hourly, or 1099 Contract Role

Work Authorization: EAD, GC & USCIT
Responsibilities:

• Lead software development for video advertising platform for IP video delivery, utilizing Python as the primary development language
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Development, System Integration & Test, and Operations/Monitoring teams as well as external solution vendors
• Ability to employ hand-on development experience to assist team to bootstrap new services and develop new features
• Assist in troubleshooting of any production issues
• Document architecture and communicate implementation approach to team members
• Communicate with Engineering and Operations teams to resolve issues

Requirements:

• 8+ years Software Development experience (with Java and Python preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering
• Strong software development experience
• Familiarity with various Software Engineering methodologies such as SAFE/Agile
• Experience with Amazon AWS cloud components a plus – Including Lambda, MediaConvert, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, IAM
• Experience with various software and web technologies such as Python, Java, XML, HTML/JavaScript, JSON, web services
• Experience with various scripting technologies and monitoring tools such as Bash and Python
• Experience with log monitoring and reporting tools such as Splunk, Kibana and CloudWatch a plus
• Self-starter

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in developing, deploying or operating a video advertising platform
• Experience with system integration and successful deployment of video products for DVB system and/or IPTV
