DigiStream Investigations, a national private investigation firm, investigating Workers' Compensation, Liability, and Liability Auto Claims, seeks a talented addition to our investigative team in the greater Birmingham or Huntsville, Alabama areas.

This isn’t a desk job and it isn't "9-5". This role is meant for an individual with an adventurous and curious spirit, and the drive to provide our clients with the evidence they need to defend their cases. This job isn't for everyone. It takes grit and mental and physical toughness.

This job can lead to a foot in the door to the investigations/security/law enforcement fields such as:

• FBI / Law Enforcement
• ATF / US Border Patrol / State Crime Lab
• Law
• Security / Corporate Investigations
• Investigative Journalism

What a day in the life of an investigator looks like:

• Monitoring, following, and videotaping subjects as they conduct their day-to-day activities by vehicle and on foot while maintaining cover
• Activity varies from filming someone at a grocery store to filming them at a professional football game
• Detailed report writing and submission of video evidence
• Regular communication with team leader on setup positions, activity, and tactics

What you’ll need to apply:

• High school diploma/GED
• Must be 21 years or older with a valid Drivers License and at least 1 year of driving experience with being confident on the road
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight up to 2-3 times per week
• Availability to work any day and any hour of the week, with most hours between 5AM-5PM.
• Availability to work Weekends & Holidays (except Christmas & Thanksgiving) NO FLEXIBILITY.
• Must currently live within 45 minutes of Birmingham or Huntsville
• Ability to pass DMV check & background check
• No PI license required - we cover the licensure cost and guide you through the process

Compensation/benefits:

• Entry-Level Pay: $16.00 per hour
• Signing Bonus after successful completion of probationary period (usually at/after 90 days)
• Surveillance Vehicle to use to/from/during cases with fuel & maintenance card
• Company-provided equipment: Laptop, Video Camera, Tripod
• Cellphone stipend
