An employee assigned to this classification demonstrates competency in one or more specialized areas including alcohol or drugs, gender specific, sex offender, mental health, learning disabled or other, and serves as a department and Court resource in the specialized area(s). This position is a senior level
Probation Officer who provides intensive services to youth on Probation, which include, random monitoring and surveillance services, wrap-around services, individual and group counseling, and day/evening reporting services. Employee may occasionally have to travel out of state, and will respond to emergency situations during off-hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, social work or related field and three years experience in juvenile justice system, demonstrated competency in specialized area.

The ability to pass a criminal background check. Valid Ohio Driver’s License and Insurance.

Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
