We are currently seeking candidates who are interested in an exciting career in Cardiac Surgery. With the expansion of the new Heart and Lung Institute , we are seeking experienced Procedural Assists who are looking for a challenging career on our exclusive Cardiac Surgery team .

Responsibilities:
Accountable for communicating supply needs, cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining equipment, picking cases, assisting with preps, and scrubbing to hold limb or camera. Assists with room turnover, positioning of patients, and any other function deemed necessary under the direction of the R.N. This includes ensuring patient transition within the surgical areas, performing diagnostic measurements, maintaining OR quality control logs and clean and organized work areas, supply carts, anesthesia carts, etc.

Qualifications:
Education

High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Enrollment in a Surgical Technology program may be substituted in lieu of experience
Experience

1 year of medical work experience required
Sterile technique experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications

BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
