This is a key Manufacturing Automation and Process Control role for the Draslovka Memphis and the Manufacturing Technology. The Process Control Specialist is to provide on-going support necessary for proper operation and maintenance of existing and new process control systems.

Draslovka Mining Solutions has a Process Control Specialist position available to support Manufacturing Automation and Process Control improvement activities at the Memphis Site. This is a key role within the Company and the Manufacturing Technology function. This position will report to the Manufacturing Technology Manager at the Memphis Plant.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain and repair site process control systems (e.g., DCS, PLC, Computers) and peripherals to support production demand for multiple 24/7 chemical processes.
• Configure process control Systems and other process control related equipment based upon guidance from Process Control & E/I Engineers and Operations to perform manufacturing tasks safely.
• Participate in scope development, design reviews, redlines and implementation of process control related capital projects, software change request (SCRs) related to logic and control strategies.
• Provide technical assistance to Maintenance and Operation in troubleshooting and incident investigations of process control related issues, including documentation and tracking of systemic issues.
• Work with E&I and Operations to ensure successful installation, checkout and startup of process control related projects and interlock checks.
• Support E&I with DCS/PLC hardware troubleshooting efforts.
• Provide training for E&I on instrumentation (TOC, TSS. Chlorine Analyzers, ……etc.)
• Support E&I, MIQA & Operation to build, implement and maintain an Asset Management system for the Memphis site.
• Maintain accurate configuration documentation of all process control systems (e.g., P&I Drawings, logic drawings…etc.)
• Review Diagnostic information in Boiler Management system, DCS, and SIS and help provide a corrective plan
• Maintain site’s DCS simulators.
• Develop and maintain site critical spares for DCS and SIS safety equipment.
• Work with and test out some of the newer technologies like D9000 Consolidator+ Multivariable Controller, Ethernet Remote I/O Modules for Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, and Profinet Networks

Qualifications (Required & Preferred)

Required

• Associated degree or higher in areas such as Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and digital control systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience (Full-time or co-op); including maintenance/troubleshooting/Configuration/Support with Industrial electrical system/instrumentation and experience with digital control systems such as DCS and PLC.
• Demonstrate ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time sensitive projects.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in both self-managed and team environment.
• Ability to read and understand control system related documentations such as: P&I drawings, logic drawing, Electrical drawing, vendor’s installation/User manual, etc.
• Based IT and Networking Skills.

Preferred

• Degree in Electrical or Controls engineering
• Experience with Honeywell DCS Systems (Experion)
• Experience with Rockwell PLC System and associated network architectures (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, SLC500, PanelView)
• Basic understanding of chemical process operation
• Working knowledge with Information system Networking.
