The dual focus on:

  • Leading standardization of the management process at the plant, working directly with employees on all shifts and teams.
  • Leading various process improvement assignments and projects that yield bottom-line productivity, improved throughput and better quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:


  • Plant resource to facilitate/execute plant standardization of the management system and work with employees at all levels to help facilitate, train and track implementation to standard.
  • Support and Champion safety in your manufacturing site by driving education and behavioral processes to a world class level, through the application of OPEX thinking and tools.
  • Support loss control throughout the organization by reinforcing safety systems that demonstrate safety as a value.
  • Coaches and develops operating team in the use of lean techniques and thinking (leader as a teacher).
  • Uses lean assessment tools to identify opportunities and gap areas to integrate into acceleration plan.
  • Facilitates the development, introduction and tracking of standard work for leaders within focus area.
  • Teaches others to create and use lean standards.
  • Provides coaching at all levels through problem solving activities to address ongoing barriers to delivery.
  • Identifies capability gaps and prioritize activities to address these gaps.
  • Provide training to close the lean capability gaps within the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a high-speed industrial manufacturing environment/plant experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in CI/LEAN and/or OPEX environment preferred.
  • Ability to develop experience in several of the following: Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Lean manufacturing, and Maintenance.
  • Incumbent would possess demonstrated ability to coach and mentor at all levels of the organization to influence and drive collaboration across teams and functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to provide work direction to team members not in a direct reporting relationship.
  • Understanding of lean thinking, systems and tools.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Science, Supply Chain or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Job related experience process improvement or project management experience manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, perform tasks, organize and follow through consistently and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence upward, across and down without formal authority.
