Procurement Specialist Job at Faulkner Design Group
Position Description
The Procurement Specialist position is the bridge between our vendors, the accounting group, logistics team, and our project teams. The Procurement Specialist works closely with Project Managers to ensure the successful purchasing, expediting, and receiving of all FF&E goods.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Manager and the Accounting Group to ascertain the timeline, budget, and deadlines for each project.
Transfer the specification documents into purchase orders and place orders with the manufacturers and fabricators.
Monitor and review status reports from receiving warehouses and regularly update the expediting log.
Assist Project Managers with coordinating FF&E quotes.
Review project inventory lists and participate in the financial closeout.
Coordinate with the Accounting Group to ensure that invoices and balances are paid according to vendor terms.
Coordinate with the Project Team to resolve issues related to product availability, product
reselections, and changes.
Maintain purchase order log including project budget status and review with PM on a regular basis
Coordinate expediting updates with PM and Logistics Coordinator.
Create the Fabric and Upholstery Code Compliance document for each project.
Strengthen vendor relationships; develop, source and maintain key partnerships for the firm.
Analyze and negotiate bids to present the most advantageous pricing, quality, logistics and
service.
Work with Senior Financial Accountant to establish favorable credit terms with new
manufacturers.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Associates Degree or higher preferred
Software (current versions): Microsoft Office Suite including Excel (proficient), Deltek Project
Management (preferred)
Experience: 5+ years applicable experience in an FF&E Procurement related role is preferred
Transportation: Must have access to a vehicle, have the ability to drive
