This position is part of the Pharma Individualized Medicines Team responsible for the process development, manufacture and supply of personalized immunotherapies in collaboration with our global partners.
Patient Operations is a new and fundamental capability for Technical Operations (PT) in order to deliver a future portfolio of Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) products. This portfolio of new products comes with the great promise to bring unprecedented medical advances to patients but also presents unique challenges: cells or other biomaterial needs to be collected from a patient for manufacturing processes and as resulting living product be delivered back to the same patient in highly individualized supply chain models and in close cooperation with the local hospitals and treatment teams.
Patient Operations is one of three end-to-end value chain groups, responsible for the “patient journey” (hospital & patient interactions and interfaces). It is complementary to supply chain management that focuses on the “physical journey” (materials, specimens, product) and Orchestration & Exception Management, responsible for the “virtual journey” (data, transactions and documents).
As the CGT Case Management Product Owner you will be shaping the future of CGT at Roche, by designing case management solutions to support the growing CGT portfolio on a global level. You will contribute to the evolution and growth of the capability from being able to support the first late-stage clinical trials and initial commercial launch to being able to support a full portfolio of various CGT modalities in the clinical and commercial stage. Key Responsibilities & Job Requirements
Design, develop, configure and deploy a case management solution for the CGT product needs that matures and grows in sync with the portfolio needs and can be integrated with other IT systems on a global and local level.
Translate the Patient Operation strategic vision and roadmap into product-specific requirements
Represent Patient Operations as a customer of the Orchestration Platform and ensure that business requirements, priorities and operations related risks/opportunities are well articulated.
Deliver an early-stage solution meeting basic user requirements within a specific timeline.
Professional leadership of an Agile (SAFe) design and deployment project team consisting of business, Roche IT, and supplier / co-innovation partner IT experts. The team’s responsibility is to design and develop the solution / integrations, enable configuration and deployment, and conduct change management activities.
Stakeholder Management
Establish proactive communication and close collaboration with mainly internal customers (other PT(C) functions, IT, affiliates) aligning system and information requirements of different functions to guarantee a high customer service level at all times.
Who You Are
Qualifications, Experience & Education
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or equivalent academic qualification in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Supply Chain / Value Chain Management
Prior experience in customer-centric IT system solutions (Design & Roll-Out) as well as product management and a deep understanding of complex business system design, development, testing, deployment, and life-cycle management
Prior business experience (7+ years) in the biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and/or consumer goods industries or in customer service support systems
Experience in CGT operations (commercial & Clinical) (e.g. Technical Development/Product Teams/Supply chain/Development/Commercial Operations)
Comprehensive understanding of software design & roll-out with special focus on customer service processes
Proven project management skills, ideally in a cross-functional project.
Prior experience in working with agile teams (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM, Design Thinking)

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of California is $108,710.00 and $201,890.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
