Schedule & Travel: Full-Time, Minimal Travel (Monday through Friday, days)

Currently we are recruiting for a Production Assistant Position.

The Production Assistant ensures that all product is manufactured in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensures that all products meet the company's quality standards while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and compliance while in timely communication with production team members.

A day in the life for this position may include responsibilities like:

  • Making cannabis edible confections varying from chocolates to gumdrops supporting candy cooks (process and people), depositing product into molds and other duties as needed
  • Supporting packaging and inventory management efforts with task ranging from stickering to boxing and counting
  • Partnering with a team of cannabis confection professionals to compete the production plan by following scheduling and assignments, accomplishing work tasks, and following established priorities
  • Following all written work instruction including but not limited to product recipes and formulas, Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and other instructions as needed

Qualifications

An excellent candidate for this position will have:

  • Basic knowledge of food science and food and/or cannabis production
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a large volume of detail-oriented tasks
  • The skills required to manage highly regulated inventory, including attention to detail and above average organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to give and receive constructive feedback in an efficient, meaningful, and timely manner

The experience we often see correlated with success in this role is:

  • Cannabis industry or traditional confectionary experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms
  • Familiarity with cannabis tracking systems and various operational technology platforms

The important requirements for this role include:

  • All cannabis industry employees must be age 21 or older and hold or obtain a valid OLCC Marijuana Handler's permit
  • Candidates must have an up-to-date Food Handlers Card

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in retail and production environments that include concrete or other hard-surface floors and, in some instances, staircases
  • Ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily
  • Ability to maintain focus and memory in environments with distractions such as heavy foot traffic, background noise due to public conversations and the gathering of people, etc.
  • Absent conditions that would prevent the occasional use of PPE such as safety glasses, masks, etc.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for several contiguous hours
