Position Description:

Key responsibilities and essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates and maintains all scheduling functions in the Plant
  • Provides direction, development, and leadership to all direct reports ensuring effective employee relations
  • Coordinates with subordinate supervisors, Human Resources regarding Plant issues, concerns, and problems as it relates to production, equipment, or employees
  • Assessing project requirements and working with buyers to acquire the best value for the company
  • Weekly and monthly production estimates provided to senior management
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are met along with industry compliance requirements
  • Maintain and support all Company Goals as it relates to Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost
  • Overseeing production processes and activities
  • Ensuring that routine maintenance of production equipment is carried out
  • Overseeing training of current and new employees
  • Ability to float to the 2nd shift a few days a week.


Specific Job Description:

  • Waterbury grill cylinder refurbishing plant
  • Company in-house tank refurbishment
  • Company bulk storage tank refurbishment
  • Company business supply warehouse


Desired skills and experience:

  • Prior production experience or service background required [Energy Industry experience is unnecessary].
  • Results and solutions are driven.
  • Works independently but can communicate processes and results clearly and concisely both to subordinates and senior management
  • A highly motivated team player who contributes to an atmosphere in which people work together enthusiastically and effectively to produce outstanding results
  • Occasional overnight travel is required for industry trade shows or meetings.
  • Regular travel to plant locations is required
  • Plant-based production supervisors would be direct reports


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of production experience
  • 1+ years of Team Lead or Supervisory experience
  • MS Word, Exel, and Email


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred- water company, propane, or other singular function or product experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and ability required.   • Ability to read and interpret documents such as production reports and repair and maintenance proposals. Ability to communicate effectively in a written and verbal format with outside vendors, fellow employees, and senior management. Ability to formulate and document procedures.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to compute percentages.
  • Must be proficient in creating and maintaining spreadsheets using complex formulas—the intermediate ability to use WORD and email programs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations and numerous possibilities with various potential outcomes. Ability to read and understand basic accounting principles and the skill to understand how decisions will affect those principles. IndividualsIndividuals must be organized and able to work on multiple projects at once.
