GENERAL FUNCTION

Responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of the Production organization, including all manufacturing operations including, production planning, quality, shipping an\ receiving, process engineering & EHS organization, and maintenance. Carries out the company objectives at the lowest cost with superior quality and a continuous focus on driving the organizations under their direction to continuous improvement.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates the execution of manufacturing schedules based on Logistics’/ Production Control requirements and capacity
• Accountable for results in terms of costs, budgets, methods, delivery, safety, and quality of production, operations, and personnel. Optimizes resource utilization by implementing an effective product organization
• Ensures all Equipment PM’s are completed timely
• Ensures complete compliance to standard operating systems
• Commitment to increase value through process improvement, productivity, quality enhancement and customer satisfaction improvement projects. Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management processes and best practices
• Change agent and mentor for moving the Production team to a value-driven quality and productivity culture using three key elements: Leading, Empowering and Partnering
• Champion for Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 6S and a High-Performance Work Team Culture
• Partners with other Manufacturing Managers and the Manufacturing Leadership Team in the development of business goals and action plans that support Essilor’s strategies and policies. This should include an outline of the team’s manufacturing and product vision and the strategy for continuous improvement
• Direct contact with customers and suppliers, both internal and external, to foster improved quality and productivity
• Mentors the team in methods to identify and specify value, line up value-creating activities in the best sequence, flow the value-added actions continuously without interruption and perform them more and more effectively
• Partners with Human Resources to plan training and development of the team and team members
• Understands company policies and directs and supervises the application of such policies to the plant’s manufacturing operations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• S. degree in Business Administration
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
• Results oriented through business and strategic focus

• Required to lift up to 50 lbs and the ability to utilize drum dollies to move 55-gallon chemical drums
• Required to be forklift certified
• Required to work in a chemical environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
