Masis Staffing is seeking a Production Operator for a local outdoor furniture company in Biddeford, Me. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with weekly pay.

3rd Shift – Sunday – Thursday – 10:45 pm – 7 am - $20.00/hour

Runs extrusion lines and assists Process Technician and Lead Operator.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists in directing and training Line Operators.
• Operates extrusion line: Changes and clean vents
• Performs board quality control checks
• Perform color testing, Wraps lifts, Swap vent cans
• Records run sheet for correct machine/line settings
• Assure scheduled line maintenance is completed
• Makes length changes, performs color changes, Adjusts saw
• Assist Process Technician and Lead Operator with the following:
• Implement production schedule sheet for product specifications such as dimensions, colors, and profile
• Adjust water bath settings
• Have cap stock staged in driers ahead of time, Conducts advanced troubleshooting
• Perform changeover tasks according to production schedule
• Ensures good Housekeeping, communicates supply needs to Material Handler, follows all policies and procedures, all other duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, taste, or smell.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
