Production Supervisor for the Atchison Milling facility. Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operations assigned to the Packing, Loading and Warehouse (PLW) department. The Supervisor role supports the PLW Superintendent in monitoring and improving departmental operations and productivity.

Core Functions:

• Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated, and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries.
• Oversee assigned department production activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
• Ensure department is compliant with sanitation requirements. Will provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective

actions as necessary.

• Track and report department productivity improvements.
• Approve daily reports and KPRs for the department.
• Report and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Provide input to the Corn Mill operations and/or Plant Manager to project work and production schedule.
• Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of department in all aspects.
• Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in department.
• Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the department.
• Monitor KPR’s and help develop plans to bring department in line with Operations Excellence goals.
• Participate in the daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the department operations activities are aligned.
• Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in milling, extrusion, and/or related and applicable activities.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and other technical software packages, as needed.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, will provide weekend coverage (on call and/or on-site as needed). This is a 1st shift role; however, the Production Supervisor PLW will occasionally provide other coverage.
