Summary:

We are looking for a full-time Production Supervisor to join our growing Delaware team. They will be responsible for supervising a team of production associates while leading them to the highest standards in safety, quality, production, and inventory controls. In addition, they will be successful in this role by managing associates, equipment, and materials according to the company’s established policies, procedures, specifications, and customer requirements. Most of all, they will be committed to the RedBuilt “Why” and dedicated to helping the company meet productivity goals while exceeding safety standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Acts as a leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain all policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with department safety, quality, fire protection and housekeeping goals.
  • Manage direct reports, including goal setting, improvement targets for KPI’s and Continuous Improvement (CI) while identifying opportunities and problem areas for targeted improvement.
  • Closely monitor the plant’s labor productivity with the goal of improving productivity.
  • Delegate, plan, prepare and present updates for departmental, safety and plant wide meetings.
  • Responsible for the uniform administration of all plant policies and departmental procedures.
  • Makes recommendations for improvement of departmental procedures and helps implement. Participate in budgeting process, capital planning, cost take out, staffing, and other activities to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.
  • Work with Production, Quality Assurance and Engineering to improve existing manufacturing processes.
  • Ensuring ongoing coaching and development, communicating expectations, fostering teamwork.
  • Responsible for ordering of raw materials, purchasing approvals and inventory reporting. Manages the cost control and quality assurance of raw material purchases.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of wood products manufacturing and production management or related field preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and concerns.
  • Demonstrates leadership and motivational skills that achieve productivity, quality, and safety goals.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and ability to learn PC-based productions reporting systems applications and software.
  • NetSuite knowledge preferred.
