Production Supervisor Job at USG Corporation
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Joint Treatment operating crew. Crew includes 7 hourly employees.
- Assist in the selection and training process of departmental employees to create an effective operating team and establishing and maintaining effective communication.
- Incorporate Safety into all aspects of the operation and ensure that safe working conditions, actions and practices exist and are followed at all times.
- Ensure that products are produced that will meet or exceed customer requirements and that the most efficient and economical use of machinery, raw materials and labor are continuously achieved.
- Will work required overtime and any shift.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong leadership, effective verbal and written communication, decision making and people handling skills, and the ability to work in a diverse workforce environment.
- Business minded, people and results oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
- Self-starter, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Provide coaching utilizing the Directions training and coaching triangle method and provide appropriate and constructive feedback.
- Must be willing and able to act as Relief Foreman as needed.
- Production Operator 6 or above are preferred.
