A Day in the Life of:

As a member of our team, you will report to the Operations Manager. You will provide the organization with direct training and supervision of consumers in a production setting. This person will assist team leaders and production manager with processes for completion of all jobs/tasks assigned in that environment. Your people skills will come in handy and will help you to maintain fantastic professional relationships with your fellow team members and those that we serve.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides direct training and supervision for consumers and competitive workforce working in the production environment.
  • Informs team leaders of production quotas and quality standards and monitors completion of same as needed
  • Works closely with all production and rehabilitation staff to ensure that individual consumer goals are met
  • Ensures that jobs are completed per customer instructions
  • Coordinates activities between work floor and warehouse (product/material movement) as needed
  • Ensures that correct product/materials are set-up and used
  • Advises Operations Manager of project progress, problems, etc. and works closely with that individual on problem solving needs
  • Oversees equipment readiness/storage (includes shrink wrap machine, heat sealers, box sealers, etc.) as needed
  • Trains and supervises competitive work force as may be required
  • Assists the team leaders with completion of all required paperwork by including copies of work orders, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Adheres to all Agency policies related to safety, discrimination/ harassment, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), agency's Human Rights plan, and all other applicable federal and state employment laws

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, college degree preferred
  • 3 years' experience in a production/warehouse environment
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to provide proof of acceptable driving record and current driver's license.
  • Excellent oral and written skills for positive and clear interactions with consumers/staff
  • Ability to complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Knowledge of positive behavior management techniques
  • Strong organizational and mathematical skills
  • Computer literate and ability to learn new skills according to current technology.
