Job Description
A Production Technologist is skilled in mechanical assembly, calibration and testing of our industry leading sensor products. This role is on the Production team and assist Mfg and Design Engineering teams with tooling changes and new product proof-of-concepts. He/she will lead production work assignments and routine tasks which are completed under normal supervision. He/she is responsible for contributing to continuous process improvement through the identification and implementation of best practices and activities.

Job Responsibilities
Assemble, test, troubleshoot small electronic and mechanical components.
Operate and maintain work cell tools and test equipment with minimal guidance.
Establish daily work cadence based on resource requirements, due dates and priorities given by Production planning and leadership.
Maintain accurate and detailed records via lab notebooks, photographs, service requests and short reports.
Provide inputs to production documentation improvement or creation based on established quality procedures and engineering changes.
Identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives involving processes and tooling.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently in a periodically fast paced work environment.
Positive attitude, effective communication, and willingness to learn new tools and skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Prior experience working with electronic assemblies or sensor production.
Ability to assess test results, read and interpret drawings and performance specifications.
Have worked in ISO9001 or AS9100 quality certified manufacturing environment.
IPC-A-610 or J-STD Certification, Soldering and knowledge of automated SMT assembly technology.
Proficiency with electronics debug tools such as DMMs and Oscilloscopes.
Work Experience
3-6 years’ experience in assembly, testing, industrial electronics or related field.
Education
High School diploma or GED, preferred Associates or vocational degree in a related technical discipline
