The Product Cancellation Specialist is responsible for processing all finance and insurance cancellations. This includes reviewing documentation, submitting policies for cancellation and follow up to ensure customers are refunded timely.

Essential Requirements

• An understanding of General Accounting Principals
• A general understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience in costing of vehicle sales and finance and insurance products

Essential Responsibilities

• Review cancellation paperwork for accuracy and completeness
• Submit cancellations to the vendor
• Update log with the status of each cancellation
• Follow up with the vendor on pending submitted cancellations
• Prepare/review check requests for proper coding
• Follow up on checks to ensure they are mailed to the customer timely
• Reconcile logged chargebacks to the GL monthly
• Communicate and resolve any and all issues with Accounting Manager
• Post any corrections daily if necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Two year degree is preferred but not required
• Prior automotive billing experience and working knowledge of ADP preferred
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug test & background)
