The University of Southern California, Gould School of Law invites candidates for tenure/tenure track faculty positions to teach law courses starting the academic year 2023-2024. USC Gould School of Law focuses on professional excellence, intellectual rigor, and a commitment to public service. The law school is a collegial environment, and our faculty comprises accomplished, nationally ranked thought leaders with a broad range of expertise.
Applicants must hold a J.D. degree or equivalent, or a Ph.D. from an accredited institution and have demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching and scholarly achievements. An outstanding academic background and relevant legal experience are also expected. Scholars from all areas of interest are encouraged to apply.

The annual base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $210,000 (Assistant Professor of Law; $200,000 -265,000 (Associate Professor of Law) and $230,000 - $400,000 (Professor of Law). When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations
