Program and Education Coordinator Job at Smithbucklin
Smithbucklin, a 650-person, employee-owned professional services company with more than 70 years of success serving the association market, with primary offices Chicago, IL and Washington, D.C., is seeking a Program and Education Coordinator to join our Washington D.C Office.
What You Will Do
- Oversee and have deep collaboration with a group of diverse volunteers as they develop a robust educational program focused on serving conference attendees in the fields of research, science, art, animation, gaming, interactivity, education, real-time graphics, virtual reality and more. Provide administrative support to the educational programs as the volunteers develop project plans, program content submission systems, curate and jury speakers/content, implement contributor database maintenance and reporting.
- Demonstrate strong comfort and experience with technology in order to lead and manage the development of a complicated virtual platform and mobile app for conference.
- Participate on video conference calls with the volunteer planning teams supporting various parts of the conference and member operations.
- Manage business correspondence including communications with volunteers and contributors.
Basic Qualifications…
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a strong proficiency in project management
- Strong comfort for technology
- Understanding of educational content curation and process for supporting volunteer driven session selection
- Proactive and default towards action-taking
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of responsibility, initiative and professionalism, you proactively communicate
- Passion for managing a diverse group of artistic and technical volunteers
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution
- 3-5 years professional experience
