Program Assistant Job at Families First of Minnesota
DESCRIPTION
The Program Assistant is available during program hours to work with preschool children and assist other Head Start staff. This position is responsible for following Head Start Performance Standards, State of Minnesota regulations and requirements.
DUTIES
Assist in facilitation of classroom learning activities in large and small groups; assist in cleaning of site program areas used by children and staff; provide guidance to children in social interactions and assistance in educational instruction; assist children in self-care activities such as tooth brushing, hand washing, other grooming and personal care activities; prepare children for outdoor activities; other duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must have Child Development Credential or Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. The ability to demonstrate progress toward completion of these credentials within 2 years is also acceptable.
