WAGE - $20.00 - $21.00 hourly, Monday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
BASIC FUNCTION: Program Assistant will provide support for UCPIE Program Management staff to carry out programs for individuals with developmental disabilities such as cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, autism, intellectual delay and epilepsy. Program Assistant will work with management staff of UCPIE’s virtual program, facilitated counseling program and adaptive bike program.
Duties:
Program Assistant will directly facilitate UCPIE’s Virtual Program (adaptive sports). Program Assistant will perform administrative tasks on behalf of Skills Builder’s Program Manager, Facilitated Counseling Manager and Adaptive Bike Program Manager. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare virtual program monthly calendar; provide calendars to parents, community partners, and Program Manager at end of month for month beginning.
- Manage virtual program on zoom by sending out zoom link for day’s activities, login to zoom activities 15 minutes before scheduled start time and take daily attendance.
- Supervise youth with special needs during virtual social recreation activities.
- Substitute for virtual instructors and plan alternative social activities when needed.
- Set up conference room for facilitated counseling sessions.
- Communicate with families signed up for facilitated counseling.
- Assist with zoom set up for virtual facilitated counseling session.
- Make copies, track forms and file for facilitated counseling program.
- Answer questions about UCPIE’s adaptive bike program and send out adaptive bike application if appropriate.
- Review and forward adaptive bike applications for program manager approval.
- File and organize adaptive bike program files.
- Schedule bike pickups, bike repairs and other tasks associated with donated adaptive bikes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma, GED certificate
- 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- 2 years office experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficient
- Driver’s license & own means of transportation
