We combine long-term inpatient treatment, evidence-based counseling services, life-skills and vocational training programs, and foster a renewed faith in Christ! We operate program facilities in Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Idaho - and provide well-rounded and personalized services to each and every student.
This position is determined to be a ministry staff position by role and function. Duties will include when necessary or directed: Leading prayer and Bible studies, discipling students and others, conducting evangelistic or humanitarian outreaches, and teaching religious or non-religious instruction.
General Statement of Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, control, organization, purchasing, administration and supervision of the program component and staff personnel.
Examples of Principle Duties: (Examples do not cover all duties that will be performed).
- Assembles data and prepares regular and periodic reports pertaining to the work and overall effectiveness of the program.
- Conducts special studies for the Center Executive Officer, regarding the feasibility of establishing new programs which involve the coordination of several program components of considerable cost; provides recommendations to the Center Executive Officer based on the research performed.
- Conducts facilities and vehicle fleet maintenance and required inspections in conformance with program policies and procedures.
- Position involves supervision of staff personnel and coordinators; plans, assigns and reviews the work of subordinates and program coordinators; and responds to problems related to work overflow and effective use of personnel and develops solutions to solve problems.
- Implements and coordinates personnel management for the program in conformance with stated program policies and procedures.
- Organizes the administrative functions of the program, delegates duties and establishes a formal means of accountability on the part of subordinates.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to assure clear definition of staff roles and responsibilities, lines of authority and equitable work loads which assure adequate treatment for the students.
- Is responsible for the recruiting, employing and training or arranging for training of qualified staff and terminating from employment any employee who performs in an unsatisfactory manner.
- Supervision and management of the student health and medical component.
- Cultivates and enlists the financial support of charitable trusts, grants and business organizations.
- Availability and cooperativeness to assist in other areas of the program as required.
- Other related work as required.
Supervision:
Works under the direct supervision of the Center Executive Director who determines goals, assigns work and reviews performance for overall effectiveness through reports, observation and conferences.
Exercise a high degree of independent decision and judgment in relation to scope of duties and responsibilities.
This position exercises full supervision of the program component and other designated areas of responsibility, including participation in the selection of new personnel, training, performance evaluation, responding to grievances and disciplinary problems, under direct supervision of the Center Executive Director.
Recruiting Requirements - Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Considerable ability to work harmoniously with and to supervise the work of program coordinators, clerical and support workers, student interns and volunteers;
- Ability to communicate effectively;
- Emotional maturity, professional objectivity and the ability to act in a Christian manner;
- The ability to carry out recommendations and directives of the Center Executive Director.
Experience and Training:
1. Graduation from a four year college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, liberal arts or related field; or
2. (2) years of office management or responsible lead clerical work, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity of other staff; or
3. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training demonstrating the ability to effectively execute the duties and responsibilities of Program Coordinator.
Special Requirements:
1. Possession of, or ability to obtain within 30 days, a valid driver`s license in State of domicile.
