*Position Details*
LifeMoves, the Opportunity Services Center (OSC) is a drop-in center, providing a wide-range of services to chronically homeless adults. As a Program Coordinator, your duties will be primarily focused on the community engagement aspects of our program. This position requires an individual to interact directly with community members and homeless individuals, bring a client-first attitude to a fast-paced, highly-active environment, be team-oriented and demonstrate individual initiative.
Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage volunteers to serve breakfast and lunch.
*

• Oversee food donations and partnerships to ensure meals are provided.
• Order and maintain kitchen supplies.
• Work with volunteer committee to produce monthly birthday-BINGO game for clients.
• Keep donation-storage area organized.
• Utilize volunteers to help sort and get donations ready for weekly clothing giveaway.
• Manage weekly clothing giveaway event.
• Pick up weekly donation of supplies from Target.
• Maintain supply-storage area.
• Schedule and run volunteer committees including monthly Support Committee and quarterly Kitchen Volunteer meeting.
• Help maintain OSC operations using facilities, IT and other resources when needed.
• Order janitorial supplies as requested by janitorial staff.
• Be the on-site staff responsible for managing volunteer groups.
• Other Duties as assigned by Site Director.

Qualifications and Skills: **
*

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 – 3 years’ work experience in volunteer management or community engagement.
• Interest in Homelessness, and demonstrated compassion/comfort in interacting with chronically homeless clients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with people from a wide diversity of backgrounds.
• Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with excellent follow-through
• Values-driven individual with track record of achievement and proven ability to innovate and manage towards ambitious goals.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team effort.
• Ability to stay current on industry trends, to think creatively and propose new ways to engage donors.
• Comfortable externally representing the organization.
