PURPOSE
STATEMENT
The Program Director of the SSU Kricker Innovation Hub will oversee daily operations and be responsible for long-term strategic planning of the Hub. This position manages the growth of the Innovation Hub, manages client relationships, and creates operational plans for program delivery. This position is responsible for establishing the Hub as a focal point in the service region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

DUTIES
AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
- Development and growth of entrepreneurship programs
- Understand existing programs and gaps in program pipeline. Connect best practices to the development of programs and strategies for continuous program improvement based on outcomes.
- Develop program curriculum for a pre-accelerator program and accelerator program for scalable technology entrepreneurs
- Manage selection process for potential entrepreneurs.
- Research, write and, submit grant and foundation award nominations
- Engaging Ecosystem resources
- Ongoing communication to enhance and improve relationships with internal and external partners.
- Identification and development of new stakeholder relationships; outreach for the purposes of collaborative content development and to bolster the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Serves as point of contact for federal, state, and local workforce and entrepreneurial agencies, boards, and programs, including but not limited to: AIA, ECDI, ODJFS, OWT, CAO, OMJ, OSU Endeavor Center, LIGHTS, TechGROWTH Ohio, Ohio TechNet, OC3, SSTI, NACCE and NCET2.
- Work with program coordinator staff to communicate value of programs to regional stakeholders.
- Oversee daily operations, activities, programs and facility to promote and encourage regional entrepreneurship and professional development
- Manage operational budget and budget-to-actual projections for grant-funded programs.
- Integrate a CRM database to track clients, program participants, prospects, and more.
- Monitor program outcomes including statistical surveys
Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Economic Development, Regional Planning, Higher Education Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or
- Five to seven years’ experience as proven entrepreneur with demonstrated services in high tech small business creation.

- Knowledge of entrepreneurship and business incubation/acceleration, planning and project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a multi-stakeholder environment. Experience working with a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Knowledge of venture development, angel investing, business law, or lean startup methodology.
