GitHub Education has a portfolio of offerings for students, teachers and schools. Through seven years of operationalizing and scaling education has changed; Schools want to be better equipped to handle the students' changing needs and provide them with the best learning environment.

We are launching new Enterprise grade offerings exclusively for Schools, Ed-Tech companies, and Bootcamps and are looking for a Program Manager who will be part of the core team responsible for launching and successful adoption of the program.

As Program Manager in GitHub’s Education team, you will drive program execution across a portfolio of programs that help drive GitHub’s developer community and commercial growth globally. Your job is to lead the operationalization of key elements of GitHub’s strategy for global expansion, and in doing so, you will work closely with stakeholders from across the entire company.

The ideal candidate for this role understands how to apply the fundamentals of program management to drive progress in a technical, global, and cross-functional environment. This role will be joining a tight-knit environment of technical and business-minded colleagues as an individual contributor with significant growth potential.

Responsibilities:

  • You should be able to make sales-led conversations and business closures with Education Decision Makers
  • You should be able to drive insights on edu accounts, and their propensity to buy and share the same with the sales team for the newly launched education school program
  • Create Marketing Collaterals, Presentations, Customer references, and enablers on the education skew for the sales team
  • You should be able to manage stakeholders and also have a strong project management skill set

Minimum Qualifications:


  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Understanding of the Education Ecosystem and its Tech usage
  • Business Development and Influencer management skills
  • An avid user of data and adapt in deriving insights from it
    • Account Propensity
    • Lead Qualification and BANT Assessment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate complex programmatic goals, milestones, and details in both verbal and written format
  • High energy and action-oriented with a history of getting things done in complex environments
  • Self-starter mentality, yet a team player with a collaborative approach and a desire to prioritize the goals of the team above personal achievement
  • Experience running market development programs or entering new markets

Minimum salary of $73,500 to maximum $195,000

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.

Location: In this role, you can work remotely from anywhere in the United States or onsite in one of GitHub’s U.S. offices (San Francisco, Bellevue, Raleigh).
