Program Manager - Hope House, Wolfeboro Job at Families in Transition
The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the daily management of the family shelter including meeting the basic needs of all families, operational needs of the shelter and staff, and facilitating service delivery to the families in the emergency shelter. This position works under the guidance of the Director of Housing and Supportive Services and in collaboration with the Program Manager of the Family Shelter in Manchester. The Program Manager of Wolfeboro is responsible for the overall external and internal operations and oversight of the services and delivery of intensive case management and supportive services. This position will provide effective management, oversight, and direction to the families being served and all the front line staff to ensure responsibility for managing the shift operations on a daily basis, including schedules, rotations, crisis management, customer service, security screening, shelter census, case management, and referrals. The manager will be part of the day/evening shift rotation and will oversee all aspects of the shift work, including helping the shift stay focused on a service model that emphasizes the use of Trauma-Informed Care, crisis prevention, and intervention techniques and principles. The Program Manager will ensure that services are provided with dignity and respect for all individuals. This role will assess guests' needs and assets in order to make appropriate diversion decisions as well as referrals for case management and housing services. The Program Manager will work closely with the Director of Housing and Supportive Services and other shelter support staff to coordinate care and services and will be an available resource for guests to assist them in their efforts to obtain permanent housing.
40+ hours a week with flexibility for nights and weekends
Essential functions:
- Coordinate partnerships with community providers
- Hire, train and supervise support staff
- Monitor all documentation
- Attend monthly wrap around meetings with resident and case manager to assess progress
- Completing weekly staff schedule to ensure safety of the program
- Assessing safety of the program physically
- Assisting in de-escalation and crisis management
- Monitor families and connecting to appropriate services
- Completing intake and discharges to the program
- Developing action plans to ensure residents are engaging in appropriate services
- Volunteer coordination

Requirements:- Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university.
- Work with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Flexible work schedule.
