United Way of Stanislaus County has been a staple in our community for nearly 70 years. We are one of the largest nonprofits in Stanislaus County and we strive to make our community a better place. 211 is a resource referral entity in our county that receives over 15,000 calls each year from people seeking help for a wide range of issues. This position will lead all activities pertaining to 211 Stanislaus County.

To be successful at this job, the candidate must possess leadership skills, be a quick thinker, a problem solver, and resourceful.

Essential Functions:

  • Database: Monitor vendor relationships and performance, including regular communication about data, database service providers and overall program activities. Maintain the database by ensuring that quality control mechanisms are in place and that audits are conducted within reasonable timeframes. Ensure that the database is updated semi-annually or whenever it is deemed necessary. Manage all contractual deliverables, including completing all reports and supporting documentation relating to reports. Assist in other responsibilites related to the database.
  • Marketing: Ensure that all marketing materials are up to data and reflective of current 211 program offerings including any fliers, posters, etc. Ensure consistent social media presence by providing creative feedback on 211 social media posts, 211 website content input, 211 website upkeep, and reviewing data analytics for all 211 social media components. Support Marketing Manager on 211 messaging strategy and implementation.
  • Outreach: Develop and implement process for identifying and selecting outreach opportunities. Ensure that communities with low 211 representation, including rural communities or other marginalized communities, are prioritized. Maintain an updated outreach calendar that reflects key events and meetings in the community. Participate in outreach activities at schools, businesses, nonprofits, and other entities with the aim of promoting and sharing 211 resources. This includes any presentations both in person and virtually. Engage in regular calls and informational meetings about implementing best practices for 211 including all calls geared towards the 211 network. Work with Director of Community Impact to continue expanding 211 outreach activities and service providers within the iCarol database.
  • Grants and Other Funding: Complete all necessary reporting documentation for all funders and grants. Research grant opportunities for 211 and work with the Director of Community Impact. Assist in any other responsibilities related to grants.
  • General: Answer incoming telephone calls that come directly to the United Way office and provide necessary support to clients. Meet one-on-one with any clients who walk into the office to seek help. Maintain standard operating procedure manuals on a regular basis. Provide training to other employees, interns etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with strong communication/presentation/public speaking skills
  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience and demonstrated proficiency in: o Database management o Social services or related field o Working with racially, culturally, and economically diverse populations. o Customer service skills o Written and verbal communication
  • Typing skills of 60 WPM or better.
  • Ample experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database management.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Compensation:

  • Pay is based on experience.
  • Health benefits the first of the month following sixty (60) days of continuous employment.
  • 401K option is available after ninety (90) days of continuous employment.
  • Flexibility to work remote some days out of the week

Job Type: Full-time
