Cydecor is a fast paced government contractor with an opening for a Programmer to support our Navy customer. This role provides technical expertise and recommendations in supporting and enhancing existing systems within an Agile development environment. Investigates and resolves application functionality issues and provides first-level support and troubleshooting. Troubleshoots technical issues and identifies modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements. Provides assistance and advice to users/clients in the effective use of applications. Provide significant programming for customer projects. Assists in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for new development projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Modify existing software to correct system bugs, improve performance, and/or automate standard processes.
• Participate in the design of application framework, User Interfaces, coding of application requirements, and the development and maintenance of application database.
• Troubleshot customer-reported bugs, perform root cause analysis, and document findings and corrective actions taken.
• Perform recurring data imports, maintenance, and other database manipulation tasks as assigned.
• Develop clean, manageable, and highly maintainable code.
• Participate in quality assurance processes, including team-member code reviews.
• Provide occasional off-hours support.

Education/Skills/Training:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.'
• (3) years of experience in the coding of programs for the collection, maintenance, searching, and reporting of data.
• Possess training in the use of and experience using the following programs, platforms, and services:

o ASP.Net/C#; Visual Studio, PowerShell, web development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript; SQL
o Server and development; IIS; and Access database programming

• Experience and understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Understanding of code versioning tool, Subversion.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, professional, and a good communicator.

Clearance:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.

• Arlington, VA (Remote)
