Project and Field Associate Job at University of Nebraska

The successful candidate will be joining a diverse team performing cutting-edge research using responsive ecological momentary assessment to collect daily data from youth experiencing homelessness as well as survey data to develop a just-in-time intervention to prevent drug abuse. This person will oversee all aspects of the field data collection and management and provide a bridge between project personnel and agencies and participants. When needed to meet project goals, this person will also conduct some interviews, show participants how to install and use the ODIN app, and how to respond to sample questions. This person will work closely with the PI and Co-investigators to maintain the project schedule. This person will conduct regular project meetings, assist the PI with training interviewers in recruitment and interview methods, and monitor progress of the research, including keeping track of number of surveys completed, to ensure all documents are in order (e.g., consent forms) through monthly visits with our interviewers and participating agencies. They will work closely with the PI to complete project goals and maintain the project timeline. This person will also participate in weekly meetings with the research team and report on the status of data collection, recruitment, and participant retention.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year of experience in a related position or field; equivalent education/experience considered. Strong administrative and organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent oral and writing communication skills. Ability to: maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information appropriately; schedule working hours around a varied timetable; work well in a team environment; work with unique populations; remain patient; and be punctual (especially when meeting with agency staff, etc). Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain research goals and processes to a variety of people.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of experience in a related position or field. Experience proctoring research interviews with participants. Comprehensive knowledge and application of computers, including office software. Knowledge of rEma software and survey research software. Knowledge of survey methodologies. Excellent budgeting, accounting, and fiscal management skills.

Posted Salary $21.635/hr minimum
