- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience serving as a Workforce Training Specialist for state or private organization.

Duties Description
Under the supervision of the HRMS Training and Communication Lead, and in collaboration with State and System Integrator Organizational Change Management staff, the Training and Communication Assistant will assist in developing and implementing training and change management activities to NYS agencies impacted by the new Human Resources Management System.

- Assist with the formulation of a comprehensive strategic training plan for the HRMS project.
- Assist in the planning and roll out of training activities for the new HRMS to over 60+ NYS agencies.
- Identify and assess specific training needs by observing and reviewing agency HR programs and by discussing staff and requirements with HR and other program managers impacted by the new system.
- Assist with determining course content, method(s) of presentation, space and equipment requirements, and creating/obtaining training materials and resources.
- Facilitating training courses by identifying agency instructors (train-the-trainers) or personally conducting courses and selecting audiovisual teaching aids.
- Preparing lesson plans for those courses conducted personally and/or by agency instructors, ensuring content will meet HRMS training objectives.
- Evaluating training courses with questionnaires, review of work reports, or supervisory evaluation.
- Communicating to employees and agency managers of available training and educational opportunities related to the HRMS.
- Assist OCM team in planning and conducting agency readiness assessments to ensure that agencies are fully prepared for the rollout of the new HRMS.
